Below is a summary statement of what we believe. Soon we will have this in a PDF file for you to download.
We believe that there is one God who eternally exists as three persons: Father, Son, and Spirit. This God is perfect and infinite in His attributes and He is worthy of all glory and worship.
We believe that God has revealed Himself through the Bible which is the permanent record of God’s interaction with humanity. This Bible, written in human language to be understood by all, is as accurate and honest as God is. It is final authority for beliefs and lifestyle.
We believe that God created the universe as recorded in the Bible and that God created humanity in His own image to tend this planet. We believe that God created first the family and then government as two institutions to aid humanity in this task.
We believe that the first man, Adam, willfully sinned against God, and that because of that sin, all humanity is sinful by nature and by choice. Individuals cannot earn any merit with God. The natural results of an individual’s sinfulness is death, both physical (temporal) and spiritual (eternal).
We believe that God chose the nation of Israel as His own special people and blessed them to bring His Son into the world.
We believe that God the Son (Jesus Christ) became human through the virgin Mary. He became human so that He could take our place as our substitute and endure God’s wrath on our sin through His death on the cross.
We believe that Jesus Christ rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and commissioned His disciples to make disciples of all nations.
We believe that all those who place their faith alone in Jesus Christ as the only possible Savior are made righteous before God in Christ and are made a part of the Body of Christ, the Church. When we trust Christ as Savior, the Holy Spirit dwells in the believer.
We believe that the Church gathers in local assemblies led by male pastors and served by deacons to observe the ordinances (Believer’s Baptism and Communion), preach the gospel, and grow in our faith.
We believe that one day Jesus Christ will gather the Church from the world, then pour out His judgment on sinful government, and then reign as king of Israel and the world for a thousand years.
We believe that at the end of time, humanity will show its sinfulness by listening to Satan and rebelling against the perfect King. When that rebellion is defeated and time ends, Jesus will confine the unrighteous into a place of eternal torment (Hell) and reward the righteous in a place of eternal blessing (Heaven).
